NEBULAE SURVEYS
2016-
Watercolour, pencil, charcoal etc. on paper
h 29,7 x w 21 cm
An ongoing series of watercolours inspired by planetary nebula – an astronomical phenomenon that occurs when a medium-sized-star reaches the end of its life. The star ejects its outer layers, forming glowing clouds of ionized gas. This process last for a relatively short time in astronomical terms – usually just a few thousand to ten thousand years.
The works shown here are a small selection from a lager series of serveral hundred watercolours.
